GIFTED AND TALENTED IN HJISD
Rigorous learning opportunities exist in all grade levels for students in the Gifted and Talented program. The goal is to provide resources that engage and develop GT students who are not only academically successful, but also the future problem solvers of tomorrow.
IDENTIFICATION AND REFERRALS
The Hardin-Jefferson Independent School District Gifted and Talented Department accepts referrals for students in grades K-12 for the current school year. Referrals are accepted on an ongoing basis, from the following: teachers, students, administrators, special education personnel, counselors, or parents/guardians. The referral must be submitted via the link found on this webpage.
Students may be evaluated annually, but only once in either the fall or spring.

SERVICES
Gifted Services are designed for students who demonstrate significantly above-average achievement or potential in the areas of general intellectual ability, specific subject matter aptitude, and creative/productive thinking skills.
